UK Horse Racing Meets - Thirsk June 23rd, 2005

Not much in the way of details but I have booked a trip to Thirsk races for the 23rd of June and I have booked myself a room in town in The Blacksmith's Arms inn for the nights of the 22nd and 23rd.

I tend to choose inns when I travel as the beer is usually better, the rooms are often more interesting than a generic hotel and, most importantly, the bar usually stays open until very late.

Thirsk, in case anyone is not aware, is in the centre of Yorkshire and is served by the London to Edinburgh line, what used to be the old LNER from King's Cross. This inn is slap bang in the centre of Thirsk in the Market Square.

The plan is for to meet up with anyone either the night before or on the day and have a day at the races and talk about racing, the ratings and whatever meets our fancy.
