UK Horse Racing's Products

Introduction

UK Horse Racing supplies a number of useful products and items for its members. The following is a description of what one will receive as a member. We hope to expand this list as time goes so as to make UK Horse Racing the first stop for anyone wanting good information on racing within the British Isles.

It should be emphasised that our products cover both racing in the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland. This, to us, makes sense as the Irish Sea and the skies above are often thick with horses, jockeys and trainers going back and forth to compete on both sides of the sea. So rather than discriminate in favour of one over the other we cover racing in all of the four countries within the British Isles.

All of the following items are available for the members of UK Horse Racing.

UK Horse Racing Ratings

The ratings are our flagship core product and are extremely well received. Our ratings are different to most other ratings on the market as they are produced by mathematical regressional analysis and so the figures and information which they generate is quite unlike anything else available.

It is because of our different approach to generating the ratings we believe that they are the amongst the best available.

We're always updating the regression models and the data engines to ensure ever increasing accuracy. We're continually performing post-mortems on the software to make sure that they are performing as they ought and to see if any improvements can be made. As well as the 'back-end' data systems being updated we're looking always to modify the actual ratings themselves.

We produce two different types of ratings; an overview and detailed ratings. The summary ratings has in one PDF document the ratings of the horses in each race. The detailed ratings are placed in a number of documents, one for each meeting. Not only are the relevant summary sheets are included in the detailed ratings but the historical form for each horse running is also given.

A full history of our ratings can be found on our Archive Server. Ratings for earlier years are available on request.

If the ratings look a little complex, then don't worry as we have a concise guide to reading the ratings.

The CSV Ratings

The summary ratings are also available in CSV format (comma separated value). The advantage of this is that the summary ratings are easily imported into a spreadsheet such as Microsoft's Excel.

This file is continually being expanded and is used by most of the suscribers to their own computerised analysis. Since this is a handy format containing all the essential information this can be easily expanded by anyone who wishes to.

The Results Grabber

One of our users, Holmes, has very kindly written a tool (available in the members area) which automatically updates the user's CSV file with the results from the internet. This tool enables the CSV files to be used for analysis.

We are in the process of updating the CSV files which have the results added on the Archive Server.

Selection Systems

We also produce a number of system selections based upon the ratings. The following charts show some of our laying systems.
