The UK Horse Racing Ratings

Recent Form

Of course no ratings would be complete without any reference to how the horse has run in its last few races. The UK Horse Racing ratings are no different.

The Form rating takes into the account how the horse has run in its last three races (which a weighting emphasised more on the most recent race than the first of the three) and the value (in pounds) shows how well it has run.

In other words a horse with a good positive value has been running well of late and is to be considered. A horse with a negative value could be ripe for laying.

However, before leaping in with an open wallet a look at the detailed ratings is advised first in order to see if there was any reason for the previous form and whether this trend is likely to continue or not.
