UK Horse Racing's Ratings

Trainer Rating

Just as a horse has a rating; we also rate trainers on their past performances and we come up with the Trainer Rating figure.

The value of the rating is in pounds weight; the larger the number being better and a good trainer is one which is rated over 100.0 pounds. If a trainer hasn't got a rating (i.e. the column then shows a zero) then there isn't enough data to calculate the rating.

This figure just shows the trainer's rating; in other words how good he or she is. This figure doesn't go to show whether the trainer is in form or not. This value is examined in the TrForm column.

Note that 50 runs are required to qualify for a rating.
