Installation

Before downloading and installing the UK Horse Racing Bot you must have a Betfair account and also be a registered subscriber with www.ukhorseracing.co.uk. You must also have entered your email address (that is the email address registered to the Betfair account with which you wish to use the bot) in the “Your Profile” page accessed through the UKHR Members Area. There is a verification check in the bot download process which will use your Betfair email as entered on the UKHR site and you will be not be able to proceed without this information being supplied.

Please note that although you can install the bot on any number of computers your subscription only covers you for use in a single Betfair account.

To download the latest version of the UK Horse Racing Bot please use the following link within your Internet Explorer browser: http://www.publish.ie-software.com/UKHR/

Note: If you are unable, or unwilling, to install via Internet Explorer and wish to install from FireFox then a special add-in is required. Details and the add-in can be downloaded from http://www.ie-software.com/download.htm

You will be taken through the verification process. Please follow the on-screen instructions.

Click on “Install”, otherwise click on “launch”. The install process will begin and will take a few moments.

Verification

In this stage you are asked to enter your Betfair user name and password.

Then if the bot calculates that your bot hasn't been authorised you are asked to enter your eMail address which you have registered with your Betfair account.

NOTE. You have to link this eMail address in your Member Profile to your UK Horse Racing account. In the members area go to My Profile and add in your eMail address that you have given to Betfair.

If you haven't updated the eMail address in your profile and you try to verify your bot then you will see the following error message.

When your eMail address has been verified, wait for a verification key to arrive to that eMail address. When it does paste it into the dialog box and then you're off up and running.

Initial Run

Once you have verified and installed the software you will be greeted with the following screen for the first time. Please enter your Betfair User Name and Password.

If you wish to use the Auto-Start feature of the bot you will need to save your password.

Please read and acknowledge the Betfair Terms and Conditions. You will only be asked to do this the first time you install the bot.

You will now be greeted by the Main Activity Screen. Note the version number in the top left.

The bot will auto-check for any new updates each time it restarts, so you may wish to do this periodically if you tend to leave the bot running continuously.

At this stage the bot is inactive and the screen is empty as you have not built any portfolios. We will return in detail to the Main Activity Screen later.

For now please click on SYSTEM BUILDER as we want to get straight into setting up the bot for betting activity.
