The Main Activity Screen
We are going to concentrate on the Main Activity Screen now, although to be honest, this is a bit of a misnomer as it is the System Builder which is the “guts” of the bot.
On a day to day basis, once your portfolios are set up and running, this is the main page that you will use to check on your betting activity. We are confident that you will find everything in this page intuitive and self explanatory.
Below is a screenshot from the first part of an active day’s live betting using some of our model portfolios.
The active betting line will show the following sequence of messages when a bet is being placed:
Ordered
This will appear in the STATUS column when the order has been placed, together with the size of the bet ordered and the odds requested in the BET STATUS column.
If the market odds are within the user’s selected price range at the time the bet is ordered it will be filled immediately, otherwise the bot will seek to fill the bet at the relevant end of the odds range.
Done
This will appear in the STATUS column when pre-off betting is closed, so you know if your bet has any further opportunity to be matched (unless you are betting ‘In Play’).
Pending
This will appear in the RESULTS column where your bet has been matched, until the result of the bet is known and recorded to your Betfair account, at which time the monetary profit or loss will be shown.

What you can see here is a line for each potential selection that the bot may bet on from the current active portfolios. Note that in line with the colour scheme used on Betfair, lay selections are in pink and back selections are in blue. Selections not bet on are in grey.
Looking at some of the potential bets displayed here we can see the following.
14:15 Carl – This bet was not placed as the selection “Lewis Lloyd” was a Non Runner = NO ODDS. Notice also that the betting line has been greyed out indicating that the bet was not placed.
15:45, 16:15 and 16:45 Carl - These bets were ordered but not filled as the Betfair prices did not move within the odds range stipulated for this portfolio.
16:00 Sedge – Selection “Classic Moon” backed at 50p. You can see that this selection went on to win and the winnings of 22p are shown in the last column which records the results, with the total result for the day summarised at the top.
16:30 Sedge – Potential selection "Follow On" not submitted to Betfair. The race, a Handicap, was excluded by the filter settings for this portfolio so we see "X HANDICAP" in the Status column.
Here is a screenshot showing a considerable number of active portfolios. Notice the effect of any filters applicable which can be seen in the betting line for potential selection under the STATUS column. This demonstrates the ability of the bot to build sophisticated qualifying criteria to target the selected systems on the most profitable race parameters.

Example Status Filter Messages
X RACE TYPE
The race is not of the selected type (AW, FLAT, HURDLE, CHASE, NH FLAT)
X HANDICAP
The race is not of the selected handicap type (HANDICAP, NON HANDICAP)
X COUNTRY
The race is not in the selected country (GBR, IRE)
X ODDS
The available odds are outside of requested range
NO ODDS
This will normally appear where the horse is a non-runner, or where the meeting has been cancelled
X RUNNERS
The number of runners is outside of the selected range
X DISTANCE
The distance of the race is outside of the selected range
X SELLERS
The category of race is excluded (AUCTIONS and/or SELLERS and/or CLAIMERS)
X DAY
The current day has been excluded from betting activity
Any other filter messages which may appear here will follow the same format and should be self explanatory.
Note
Please note that the bot will analyse every selection in every system in each of your active portfolios to see if it qualifies. The current version of the bot pre-analyses the majority of these filters and only displays selections that qualify according to all of the user's portfolio settings. Therefore you will no longer see the majority of these filter messages as this has all taken place in the background.
Next Race
Here you can see a clock counting down to the next race in your selections based on the official race start time. Please ensure that your PC’s clock is accurate at all times.
Data Calls
Displays the number of data calls the bot has made to the Betfair API. If you enable betting in play, or place bets a very long time before the official race start time the number of data calls could be very high.
Can we clarify and check this paragraph?
Minimise Option
If you click on the small black arrow below the close window ‘X’ in the top right corner of the Main Activity Window this will minimise the bot to the system tray of your computer. This is recommended practise for normal operation to save system resources.
