UKHR (Malc) (147863. Posted 4-Sep-2010 Sat 08:11) Right, I am looking for a Plan B. The stuff is going to be posted somewhere and then an eMail will go out telling where to look. Sutty (147862. Posted 4-Sep-2010 Sat 08:08) is plan B coming to a place near me soon? Phil (147861. Posted 3-Sep-2010 Fri 22:19) no probs malc....ignore the email....2+2=5! (forgot password). UKHR (Malc) (147860. Posted 3-Sep-2010 Fri 22:07) It seems that the web hosts are having massive issues at the moment. They claim that their team of highly trained engineers are working on the issue now. Mind you, the ftp has been down for a few hours already so I haven`t any idea how much longer it`s going to take.
If it doesn`t come back this evening, which then means that no files will be sent to the server then I am going to have to wait until the morning. And if their team of highly trained engineers haven`t fixed it post breakfast then I will come up with a Plan B. UKHR (Malc) (147859. Posted 3-Sep-2010 Fri 21:43) I am having massive ftp issues this evening Bits are going up but most aren`t. This seems to be an issue at the host so if the worst comes to the worst I may have to post the data elsewhere. JohnH (147858. Posted 3-Sep-2010 Fri 19:53) I am currently replacing my ageing pc with a new Windows 7 one. It is a 64-bit machine, and I wonder whether any forum user is currently running Holmes` Grabber tool on a similar PC. If so does the Grabber work smoothly on 64-bit Win 7 please? UKHR (Malc) (147857. Posted 3-Sep-2010 Fri 09:31) Oh, sorry - good morning all. UKHR (Malc) (147856. Posted 3-Sep-2010 Fri 08:38) I see from my logs that mine are positive. But the thing is on another machine. I will see if I can extract my logs for the Stephen-1s from what I have here (as I am away from the Sheep Shed at the moment) so I can`t see what I am doing there exactly.
When I am done I will have a sub sheet with results on for people to pore over but I feel that I have heavily filtered mine. Back in a bit with this one. bayesian (147854. Posted 3-Sep-2010 Fri 08:09) Morning. Has anyone made the Stephen-1 Backs work in any form? Just looking at the straight version, and it`s down -115 for the year-to-date (since May). Even restricting it to NH Handicaps it`s down -30. Last year it was positive every month, this year (since May), only August was, just, in the black, but not for Handicaps, which seemed to be its best type in the Lab Notes. bayesian (147853. Posted 2-Sep-2010 Thu 16:55) Actually I was more interested in Aalya in that race, but still came out ahead! falbravisback (147852. Posted 2-Sep-2010 Thu 16:40) Bayesan (and who else is interested) in this late hcp, we have (within 12pds) 3 only horses U0 , the forecast at the end edit - Barliffey winner would have been better
UKHR (Malc) (147851. Posted 2-Sep-2010 Thu 16:19) I was in the bar the other night, just myself and the barmaid. And all that was playing was UB40 on some Spotified machine. All night and I just can`t stand them at all, particularly that song, which lives up to its title of "Red Red Whine".
The next night I popped in and there was something else playing. I said that this was better because I detested UB40. She said the same thing too. So when she asked why I didn`t tell her I said that I was just being polite and going into a bar for the first time and all that and she said that she thought that I had put it on.
So we both suffered the same stuff for hours on end. And, no, they haven`t made a single song worth listening to. And that goes even more so for their covers of the Police songs which they massacred.
The barmaid is now enjoying a pile of Rush and Deep Purple. And more so than UB40. falbravisback (147850. Posted 2-Sep-2010 Thu 16:17) Nice toprated for Malc`s ratings Phil (147849. Posted 2-Sep-2010 Thu 16:01) I can`t stop singing UB40 to myself now.....must get some Genesis playing in the car soon to get rid of it! falbravisback (147848. Posted 2-Sep-2010 Thu 16:00) Well in stats breakdown you have Godolphin`s Group and Listed wins from 1994 to 2010, so roughly you have an idea bayesian (147847. Posted 2-Sep-2010 Thu 15:46) Thanks, Falbrav. A quick look suggests they are evenly split, but not easy to guess relative quality. I`ll dig further, but it`s also true that historically, bin Suroor has really performed in late Sept/Oct, although not at usable prices (the AW thing does suggest an angle, though) falbravisback (147846.
