Weighed In

This has to be one of the worst returns on the Tote ever! Normally when a horse is at a massive price the first place to look is the price on the Tote. Who would ever have thought that a 100/1 on the boards would be a mere 50/1 on the Tote?

And, look at the comparison between the much maligned Computer Straight Forecast (CSF or SF) and the Tote's Exacta (EX). The CSF paid £1667 whilst the Exacta paid out a miserable £470.

Even the Tote's place prices were feeble. So, if there is a lesson to be learned here; it must be to check the Tote prices before lumping on. Otherwise one could be in for one heck of a shock!

At least the racegoers at Goodwood today won't have been pestered by the advertisements on the displays exclaiming that the price is better on the Tote!
