Introduction

It's only been ten days since the last newsletter but what with Royal Ascot coming up and the inevitable tipping competition we thought that we could sneak another newsletter out to catch up with what's happening here.

Royal Ascot Tipping Competition

It's time for the next tipping competition. We're having a small tipping competition for the whole of the Royal Ascot meeting and including any days which aren't necessarily 'royal'.

The meeting starts tomorrow on Tuesday 17th June and the details of the competition are available here.

The prize for the most profitable entrant will be one month's worth of ratings and, as usual, there's no entry fee or anything.

If you haven't registered on the competition forum before then you will have to do so as any of your user names for the newsletter, the forum or the members area are kept quite seperate from the competition. If you have registered before for the competitions then your previous login details will still be active.

Cherry picking from the ratings enabled me to win the previous competition on Derby Day and the competition before I won using the ratings by just taking the top rated selections. So, I'm looking for three in a row using the ratings. But will you be able to do better?

The UK Horse Racing Bot

The bot is still being hammered in testing and what we hope are the last few bugs are being hunted down and squashed as this is being typed.

The documentation is being written up and we're happy to say that this won't be a small single sheet of paper giving next to no real information but, rather, a comprehensive set of instructions along with plenty of screen shots.

Everything is progressing nicely on this front and we're confident that there will be a release date announced in the near future.

Laying System

We've had a laying system tested recently and the creator has asked that we code it up and release it to the members of the service.

More details will be forthcoming shortly but this one has been back tested to the start of 2007 and, to SP, the figures are:

Runs:   556
Successes:   509
Strike Rate:   91.5%
Profit (SP):   179 points
Largest Drop:   37.65 points

That's all for now for this newsletter. So, until the next time, see you in the short queue.

Yours sincerely,
The UK Horse Racing Team
