The UK Horse Racing Ratings

Weight Delta

Despite this being a derived field (i.e. calculate it) it's the simplest of the derived fields.

The Weight Delta field is the difference between the horse's weight and the average weight carried in the race. So this means that a horse with -2 in this field is carrying two pounds less than the average weight.

The average (or mean) weight of the horses in this race can be seen in the race information line under the race title.
