Racing ImagesEclipse Meeting, Sandown 2004If nothing else there are two interesting pictures here of African Dream which will be of interest to those who are interested in paddock watching. Whenever I go to Sandown I try to ensure that I get to the pre-parade ring as much as possible. I prefer this enclosure to the main parade ring as the horses are usually unsaddled and one can see the horses more and when I have seen enough I have enough time to get to the betting ring without having to be caught in the crowd coming from the parade ring at the last moment. These two pictures show African Dream starting to play up. I also saw him rearing up on two legs but he was generally overexcited and unsettled. The last picture shows him flashing his tale which is usually taken as a bad sign. ![]() Arriving at the racecourse. ![]() The Lester Piggott signing ![]() Well, that's all my relatives' Christmas presents sorted out for this year! ![]() Boogie Street, one of the favourites in the first race. ![]() African Dream starting to play up in the pre-parade ring before the Coral Eclipse. ![]() African Dream flashing his tail; a negative sign in the pre-parade ring. |
