Concerning your selections and the process, I have to say that I have spent some time pouring over the explanation page and then the format of the selections. With so much information you must have a very sound approach.

Carlito

Since Leopogues Lady paid for my Christmas and Serenus almost sent me on holiday to escape the cold I await your excellent selections with baited breath.

Just found this site it`s great, when will I be able to become a member it`s so refreshing not to have somebody giving you odds on horses as tips and making out they`ve given you secret information? I`ve only backed your last three selections with two winners at 7/2 and 3/1 in fact the one that didn`t win was the odds on Ettrick Water. Keep up the good work.

Got today's winner [Poacher's Run] on Betfair this morning at 6-1. Cheers boys - always nice to come home to a monkey!

Pug, UK

You seem to be getting quite a few winners. Keep the good work up !

"The attached Excel chart is the result and shows the growth in the bank from a standing start based on the target of winning £1 per race.

"Basically, the graph plots how the cumulative profit and loss progresses throughout the period. The betting is based on always aiming to win a fixed amount per race - call it one unit. As soon as odds prices are on offer, the stake which will secure the necessary win is calculated and the bet placed. If the horse loses, then the lost stake plus the amount which should have been won is carried forward and becomes part of the amount to win on the next race. Hence, the saw tooth shape of the graph. It is relatively smooth due to the high rate of winners apart from the two losing streaks. You need to be around during the racing to run this system.

"The essential refinements are to have a mechanism of limiting the size of the stake to something the bank can stand and the bookmaker will accept so a smooting mechanism is needed to deal with long losing streaks. I also avoid bets where the odds are worse than 4 to 5.

"So the interpretation of the chart is that over the year you would have won 500 times the amount per race you set out to win. If you wanted to win £1 per race you'd have £500. If £10 per race is your target, then £5000 is what you have at the year end."
